Istighfar When You Keep Repeating the Same Mistake

Shame often keeps people from seeking forgiveness again. They think sincerity expired the first three times. Islam does not teach that. Returning with regret is itself proof that your heart is still awake.
Be honest in the dua. Name the habit without drama. Ask for help breaking the cycle, not only for a wipe of the record.
Change one trigger. If late-night scrolling leads to wasted Fajr, move the charger out of the bedroom. Istighfar pairs with effort.
Seek knowledge that addresses the root. Sometimes repetition continues because we treat symptoms and ignore loneliness, pride, or boredom underneath.
Never despair of mercy. Despair is heavier than the sin. Keep asking, keep trying, and trust that Allah loves the servant who refuses to stay down.
