Small Acts of Sadaqah You Can Do Without Leaving Home
Omar Siddique

We often picture sadaqah as money dropped into a donation jar. That is beautiful, but Islam opens the door much wider. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said that even a smile is charity.
Check on someone who lives alone. A short message asking how they are can lift a heavy afternoon.
Share food with a neighbor, especially during Ramadan or after a new baby arrives. You do not need a feast. A plate of rice and curry is enough.
Remove harm from a path, online or offline. Reporting misinformation gently, or clearing ice from a sidewalk, both fit the prophetic description of charity.
Give your time to family without counting it. Helping a sibling with homework or listening to a parent recount an old story is sadaqah woven into ordinary life.
